The Pic d'Ayous is near the refuge hut of Ayous (with keeper until mid-september) and Lac Gentau (lake Gentau). You can reach it trough the GR-10 with only 2 h or 2.30 h from Lac de Bious-Artigues, where you can park your car.

This modest peak is, however, an excellent balcony over the unmistakable Midi d'Ossau and the peaks and valleys of the neighbour Vallée d'Aspe. You can see also Lac Bersau, Col d'Ayous, the ski station of Artouste-Fabrèges and even the spectacular Cirque de Lescun.

This view could be one of the most beautiful over the Midi d'Ossau.
