In middle way between la Selva de Oza
(Val d'Echo) and Zuriza (Val d'Ansó), following
the GR-11, there is the unguarded refuge of Taxeras (1,400
m), on the right-hand side of the Petraficha ravine (in
bad condition).
I slept there alone in a windy night,
scared because the wind wanted to demolish the roof and
the wooden structure of the poor house. But the refuge
didn’t collapse (surely
it has resisted many nights before this…) and the
daylight gives you such gorgeous views of Sierra d’Alano.
Next step will be to climb that range
trough its unique pass: the Achar d’Alano or Taxera
Pass.
